The Fairgrounds District Board convened December 11 at the African American Performing Arts Center. Colleen Ruiz and Ben Lewinger, members of the master planning team, presented an update to the Board, including a detailed review of the discussion concepts presented earlier (CLICK HERE TO SEE THE FULL PRESENTATION).
The presenters reiterated that the discussion concepts presented are preliminary scenarios and shared with the public to spark imagination of how different land uses could work together to create a sustainable, vibrant development on the Fairgrounds.
Public input is vital to this process. Please complete the second survey based on the discussion concepts. Master planning is expected to be complete in March of 2026.
The next Board meeting has not yet been scheduled, but will occur in January or February, depending largely on 2026 Legislative Session schedule.
