The second Community Meeting for the Fairgrounds Reimagined master plan took place on Tuesday, November 18. Part one of the meeting, Master Planning Pathways, had participants exploring different aspects of the master planning process, including themes related to the State Fair of the Future; Fairgrounds Site Assessment and Historical Buildings; Roadway Improvements / Pedestrian and Bike Safety; Next Generation Neighborhoods; Land Use; and GRT Matters. See all the posters here.
Part two was an interactive Town Hall where community members had the opportunity to ask questions of Alex Greenberg, Economic Advisor to Governor Lujan Grisham; Nancy Locke, master planning lead from Stantec; and Ben Lewinger, part of the community engagement team Residents came from all over the city to share their hopes and fears for our future Fairgrounds. Thanks to Expo NM for opening up the Fine Arts Building for our Pathways tour, and for continuing to welcome community into the African American Performing Arts Center.
